Locations to Visit

We will visit Puerto Natales & Torres del Paine National Park, and Estancia La Peninsula in Chile and El Calafate, El Chalten & Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina

Weather

Patagonian weather is notorious for being unpredictable. October is the middle of the spring in the Southern Hemisphere with average highs around 14-18 °C (50-60's °F) & the average lows around 3-7 °C (30-40 F).

Cool days and cold nights. There's possibility of rain and snow.

Terrain

The terrain is magnificent, and the sights include glaciers, lakes, grasslands and everything in between.

This trip will be moderately difficult & at times challenging due to mileage & terrain

Altitude

Located at the foothills of the Andes, you will begin at sea level and the highest elevation reached is 1,200 meters (3,937 feet) above sea level in Torres del Paine.

Equipment

We recommend coming prepared with layers for the variations of day and night temperature.

A wind jacket is always a must in Patagonia, as are trekking poles, soft hiking shoes and UV-filtered glasses.
