Located between the coast and the foothills of the Andes, you will begin at sea level and the highest elevation reached is 3,399 meters (11,151 feet) above sea level.
The dry season features sunny days and clear skies, although nights can be cold and dry. The days are pleasant for hiking in the mountains, while the coast is characterized by a persistent "drizzle."
The terrain is magnificent and diverse, with views including towering mountains, lush valleys and coastal deserts. This trek will be of easy to moderate difficulty and sometimes challenging due to the altitude and varied terrain.
We recommend coming prepared with layers for the variations of day and night temperature.
A fast drying inner layer is a must in Peru, as are trekking poles, soft hiking shoes and UV-filtered glasses.
